Liturgical Ministries
These are ministries that revolve around our celebration of the Mass helping to nourish our faith through community prayer.
Altar Servers
San Juan Del Rio Catholic community welcomes our young people in the ministry of assisting at Mass as Altar Servers. Details include:
One who performs the gift of distributing Christ's Body or Blood to the faithful during Communion at Mass or taking Communion to the infirm. A person must be 18 years or older, be in good standing with the Church and has received the sacraments. Call Father Tony at 287-0519 or email frtony@sjdrparish.org for training information and scheduling.
Greeter Ministry
We welcome parishioners and newcomers to our San Juan del Rio with a warm "Hello" and a friendly smile. We make a special effort to learn the names of unfamiliar faces and answer any questions. We are present 30 minutes prior to Mass time wearing our greeter name tags. Contact Chairperson Antoinette Testa at 904-287-9958 or betseyross65@comcast.net for more information.
Lectors
The liturgy of the word is the Church's proclamation of God's life in us. Members of the parish are invited to share the gifts they have to be good and effective ministers of the word. Contact Kathleen Baker at 904-230-9424 or kaseybaker@att.net for training sessions and scheduling.
Music Ministry
The music ministry of San Juan del Rio is quite diversified. We have a Sunday Choir, Saturday evening Folk Group, cantors, and instrumentalists. All you need is to love to sing praise to God!
Sunday Choir
The Sunday Choir sings at both the 8:30 am and the 11:00 am Sunday Masses, and on other special occasions. Contact Rocky Di Georgio at 904-502-8535 or rocky@rockydigeorgio.com for more information.

Ushers
Men, women, and youth are needed to volunteer their time for one of the four Masses each week. Duties include greeting parishioners, assist with seating the handicapped and parishioners, taking up weekly collections, selecting bearers for the "offering", guiding Communion lines, distributing bulletins after Mass, straightening the CHurch after Mass, and assisting the Pastor or visiting the priest as needed.
