Baptism at the Parish

Please call the office at 287-0519 to arrange for Baptism and plan to attend a Baptism Prep class, preferably before the baby's birth. You will need to pick up a folder from the parish office, and complete the form located in the folder with vital information, along with the information about the parents, godparents, etc., who will participate.  This form is used for creation of the Baptismal certificate, which will be mailed to you at your home, after the Baptism occurs.

Baptism Prep classes are regularly scheduled and will be led by Deacon Stan on the third Monday of each month at 7pm in the Church's Blessed Sacrament Chapel.  If you are unable to meet with Deacon Stan at this time or if it is a hardship for you to attend this meeting, he will make other arrangements to meet at a time and place more convenient to your schedule.  Please note that you need to be registered in the parish, and you need to be active and participating in the church 6 months prior to the Baptism.  Also, there is no charge for the Baptism Prep class, but a stipend (gift) to the parish or directly to the clergy at the time of the Baptism is acceptable.

You will need to provide the preferred date and time of the Baptism well in advance of the Baptism, so the parish can verify availability of the clergy for Baptism and also for parish facilities, if needed.  The priests and deacons of the parish will be able to schedule the Baptism on your request after any of the weekend liturgies, including after the Saturday 5:15 pm mass or after the 8:30 am or 11:00 am Masses on Sunday.
