Welcome to San Juan del Rio Catholic Church.  We are happy to have you join us.  We are a faith filled community growing together and spreading the gospel of Jesus through our FAITH FAMILY and FELLOWSHIP.

Rev. Edwin Nosakhare Omorogbe

We welcome Rev. Edwin Nosakhare Omorogbe to our parish. Fr. Edwin was born on the 13th November 1972 in Nigeria. He was ordained a priest on 22nd March 2003 in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria. He has been a pastor of parishes in Benin City, Nigeria and Ottawa, Canada.

He has an Ecclesiastical Doctorate in Canon Law from St. Paul University Ottawa; a PhD., in Canon Law from University of Ottawa; PhD., Pastoral Psychology, Indiana, USA. He has several professional certifications in Church Administration and a Clinician in Viktor Frankl’s Logotheraphy (a psychotherapeutic method that focuses on helping to treat psychological challenges through discovery of meaning in life). He lectured at the University of Benin, Nigeria as a Senior Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Art, Department of Religions. He has also taught in various theological Institutes in Benin, Nigeria. In the Archdiocese of Benin City, where he is incardinated, he is a member of the College of Consultor, Presbyteral Council (Senate of Priests); Pastoral Council; Dean of Benin City and President of the Canon Law Society of Nigeria.

He has several scholarly academic publications both in Nigeria and International Journals. He is a recipient of many awards both in the Church and in the civil society, including receiving Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, 2020. He has worked in Nigeria, Canada, and USA. Rev. Edwin comes to us with a great depth of pastoral experience and academic qualification. On behalf of the priests and parishioners we welcome him to our Parish.

DAILY MASS MON-FRI: 7:00AM, 9:00AM

Confession Times:
SATURDAY: 3:30-5:00 PM in the church

Divine Office & Eucharistic Adoration:
Weekdays from 7:30AM to 8:45AM  
First Friday the Month from 9:30AM to 9:00PM

Holy Days of Obligation Mass Times:
Vigil Mass - 7:00pm, Mass during the Day - 7:00am, 9:00am, 12:00pm
